JOANNE obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B Hons) from Queen’s University, Belfast in Northern Ireland. Throughout the course of her academic journey, Joanne garnered practical experience through internships and employment as a paralegal in esteemed legal firms specializing in motor insurance and criminal law. Her commitment to societal impact is exemplified through her involvement with Enactus, a social entrepreneurship organization, where she was required to identify solutions to community issues and spearhead the implementation of impactful community projects.

Joanne passed her Certificate of Legal Practice at the first time of asking and upon graduating, she proceeded to seek a wider exposure to civil litigation matters by commencing her pupillage with the Firm. During her pupilage period, Joanne was given the opportunity to assist and involve herself with the team in multifaceted legal disciplines including commercial, corporate and contractual disputes, tortious litigious matters, defamation actions, debt recovery actions and landlord and tenant disputes as well as real estate and conveyancing matters. She also assisted to render legal advise to international clients.

In addition, Joanne also graced the opportunity during her pupilage to be involved in and assist the Partners with the laws of succession in relation to obtaining grant of probates, letters of administration and letters of administrations with will annexed.

Joanne was subsequently admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on 16th December, 2022. Since her completion of her pupilage and having successfully impressed the Partners with her continuous dedication, passion and commitment to the cases assigned to her, the Firm has since retained her as one of its associates and she has since been a valuable addition to the Firm having been entrusted by the Partners to work independently on some of the cases assigned to her such as debt recovery actions.

Beyond her legal pursuits, Joanne, being part of Generation Z with a penchant for technology, is an IT enthusiast and actively engages in e-sports. In her leisure time, she channels her creativity into designing online journal pages, showcasing a well-rounded and dynamic approach to both her professional and personal endeavors.
